Consumer Public Disclosures for Licensure Programs
:: Certified Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program ::
Illinois College鈥檚 Alcohol and Other Drug Counseling program is an approved program by the Illinois Certification Board, Inc.
Illinois College鈥檚 AOD program has two tracks: 1) 缅北禁地 pursuing a bachelor鈥檚 degree major in Behavioral Health with a concentration in Alcohol and Other Drug Counseling, which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree and CADC certification in the State of Illinois after passing the state exam; 2) for 缅北禁地 who have already earned a degree the certification-only track leads to certification in the State of Illinois after passing the state exam. To complete the AOD certification at Illinois College, 缅北禁地 must complete practicum hours at an approved facility in the State of Illinois. The Illinois Certification Board has the ultimate authority and discretion to determine if licensure certification in Illinois will be issued.
Students from states other than Illinois who intend to seek certification in another state, or practice SUD counseling in another state, need to know the specific requirements of the state in which they intend to apply for certification. There is not reciprocity with other states for CADC certification. Students completing the Behavioral Health major may meet the academic requirements for certification in other states, but this is not guaranteed. Students from states other than Illinois will almost certainly need practicum or work hours in the state where they seek certification.

:: Nursing ::
Illinois College鈥檚 nursing program has two tracks: 1) traditional or pre-licensure track, and 2) BSN to MSN track. Nursing licensure applies primarily to the traditional or pre-licensure track. The BSN to MSN track does not lead to additional licensure. The state licensing board (Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation鈥檚 Committee on Nursing) has the ultimate authority and discretion to determine if licensure (in Illinois) will be issued.
Illinois College鈥檚 BSN program is an approved program by the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation鈥檚 Committee on Nursing. The BSN to MSN track is not under the purview of IDFPR as it does not lead to additional licensure.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and the master鈥檚 degree program in nursing at Illinois College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ().
Licensure requirements may vary among the states. For 缅北禁地 from states other than Illinois intending to seek licensure in other state(s), or practice nursing in other state(s), it is important for 缅北禁地 to know the specific requirements of the state in which they intend to apply for licensure. Students are highly encouraged to seek guidance from their nursing faculty advisor and from the appropriate licensing board/agency prior to enrolling in the nursing major.
