Disability Resources

For 缅北禁地 with documented disabilities, it is the goal of the college to provide an environment that encourages equal access and participation to its various programs through a variety of services and accommodation. 

Reasonable accommodations are provided in accordance with the various policy statements of the college and in compliance with all applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 

Incoming 缅北禁地 are encouraged to apply for our TRIO Student Support Services Program, a college retention program designed to serve 缅北禁地 who are first-generation, low-income, and disabled persist and graduate from Illinois College. The TRIO Student Support Services Program is funded by a grant from the US. Department of Education in the amount of $272,364 per year.

Our Goals

Illinois College Disability Resources works in conjunction with faculty, staff and 缅北禁地 to fulfill the following disability-related goals:

  • Provide services and resources for all 缅北禁地 in an educational manner recognizing the rights and responsibilities of 缅北禁地 as adults.
  • Provide equal access to an Illinois College education for 缅北禁地 with disabilities by facilitating appropriate accommodations.
  • Assist 缅北禁地 with disabilities, as well as other new 缅北禁地, with the transition from high school, home-school or other institutions to Illinois College.
  • Educate the campus regarding disability related laws, issues and concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff and 缅北禁地 to develop and implement disability services.
  • Teach, counsel and advise 缅北禁地 to use resources, improve learning strategies and realize their full academic potential.
