Piano virtuoso to perform in Fine Arts Series

Pianist Pei-I Wang will perform in Rammelkamp Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

A captivating and versatile piano virtuoso, Pei-I Wang is coordinator of keyboard studies at Millikin University. She has performed with orchestras in the U.S. and in Asia, and has received awards in several piano competitions in the U.S. and Europe.

As a keen advocate of contemporary music and rare masterworks, Wang has performed new music to critical acclaim across the country. Her recording of Carl Czerny鈥檚 four-handed piano fantasies with Sam Gingher is available on the Naxos label. While she has previously performed in the Fine Arts Series with flutist Abigail Walsh, this concert will mark her first solo performance in the series.

Individual tickets for the Illinois College Fine Arts Series are $15 each and season tickets, which include all concerts, are available for $70. Students of all ages receive free admission. Tickets are available for purchase in advance by phone at 217.245.3192 or at the door on event day.
